The Rev. Arthur P. Ritter – Senior Minister

The Rev. Arthur P. Ritter has been the Senior Minister of Meadowbrook Congregational Church since August of 2007. He lives in Novi with his spouse Laura and their two dogs. Art and Laura have two adult daughters.

Art is a native of Stanton, Michigan and a graduate of Alma College and the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Before Meadowbrook, Art ministered with Congregational churches in Toulon, Illinois, West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Art is a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan and enjoys watching any kind of baseball game. He likes reading history and biographies and playing trivia.

Colleen Foster – Director of Christian Education

Colleen Foster has been the Director of Christian Education at Meadowbrook since 2006. Prior to becoming the director, she served on the Board of Christian Education and volunteered as Church School Superintendent.

Colleen lives in Novi with her husband Scott and their pup Romeo. She has two adult children, Sherilyn and Harrison.

Colleen received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Madonna University.
Colleen enjoys riding her horse Freeway, reading and knitting.

Dave Howland, Organist/Piano Accompanist

Dave Howland began as Meadowbrook Congregational Church’s Organist / Piano Accompanist in 2020. Prior to working here, Dave served as Music Director for other churches, including Detroit’s historic Metropolitan United Methodist Church. Dave now works as a free-lance piano accompanist and instructor, and writes choral and instrumental arrangements for hire.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Michigan and lives in Novi with his husband Ken and their son John. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family and cheering for his son at hockey and football games.

Danny Reeves, Director of Music

Danny Reeves is a professional music educator, specializing in choral, piano, and church music. Danny graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and is currently obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Church Music at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA.

As a public school teacher, Reeves has experience in teaching choir as well as class piano. He also has served as Organist and Choir Director for previous churches. Danny performs regularly with the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale.
