Worship at Meadowbrook takes place in our Meeting House, a term that speaks to our Pilgrim heritage. Our worship features unison and pastoral prayers, choral and solo music, hymns usually accompanied on organ or piano, scripture, and a 12 ½ minute sermon. Children are invited forward for a special message near the beginning of the service and then may attend church school classes. Our worship service usually concludes in one hour or less.
Music has been a centerpiece of Meadowbrook since the church’s inception. The Chancel Choir sings everything from Baroque music to South African folk songs to jazz. We pride ourselves in singing music that praises and spreads the word of God at each service. The Chancel Choir consists of 15-20 wonderful members and friends who sing for Sunday services and rehearse Wednesdays from 7:30pm-8:30pm. We always welcome new members to join our choir, and there is no music experience necessary. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Music, Marcus Peterson, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Youth Choir K-12: Rehearses throughout the school year on Sundays after service. The Youth Choir performs at least once a month alone or with the Chancel Choir. They sing a wide variety of songs that are challenging and fun at the same time. There is no musical experience needed, but participants must be ready to perform and have a good time.
Concerts: We host a wide variety of musical artists to come and share their talent with the rest of the community. If you are at all interested in performing or hearing more about these concerts, please contact the Director of Music at email@example.com
Show of Hands Puppets
5th grade through Adults
Meet the Bleatles (Four lambs from Liverpool). Delight to the music of Daisy and the Mayflowers. These are just some of the puppet performers that have appeared during Sunday Worship or on the road as part of our Show of Hands Puppet Ministry.
Puppetry techniques, costuming, props and scenery combine to bring Bible stories and lavish musical numbers to life. The SOHPM meets weekly from 7-8p.m. during the school year. All 5th graders through adults are invited to join the fun. Just raise your hand!
