Join us in welcoming Advent!
The holiday season is upon us! To get Meadowbrook ready for the "most wonderful time of the year," we need help putting up our Christmas trees, wreathes & garlands (i.e., "greens"), nativity scene, and other decor. We'll have donuts and hot coffee for folks!
Why do we hang “the greens,” though?
When used at Christmas, evergreens are often understood as a symbol of the eternal coming to dwell among us as Word made flesh. When hung for Advent, the symbolism of evergreens points to the unending life of World to Come when Jesus returns, the dead are raised, and the righteous enter life in the new creation.
"Allow them to come to me," Jesus said, "because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these children." Matthew 19:14

Join Meadowbrook for our Sunday school program's live retelling of Jesus of Nazareth's nativity! We're looking forward to (safely) commemorating our Lord's arrival with song, dance, and laughter again!
