Sermon: Running the Race
Eric Brott

All Are Welcome

A Canticle of Peace

And it shall come to pass in the latter day
That the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountain,
And many shall go and say:

Come ye and let us go into the house of the Lord.
And He will teach us His way, and we will walk in His paths.
And He shall judge and He shall judge between the nations.
And shall reprove many nations.

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
Nation shall not lift sword against nation.
Neither shall they learn war anymore,
Come ye, let us walk in the light of the Lord -- Come.

About Meadowbrook
  • Our Mission and Shared Vision
  • Worship Services: We hold services on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM and at various special times throughout the liturgical year.
  • Christian Education: Classes are provided for kindergarten through high school during worship, and adult Christian education classes are held throughout the year.
  • Music: Music is what sets Meadowbrook apart. Thanks to a generous bequest, we have acquired a beautiful new organ, and we received a grand piano a few years ago. Both grace our Chancel and are played for every worship. The Chancel Choir accompanies worship services, frequently with visiting musicians. The two Children's Choirs perform several times a year as well.
  • Fellowship: Every Sunday following worship, members and friends meet for coffee and fellowship. Service and social groups within the Church meet at other times as well.
  • Community Involvement: We are active in numerous community organizations and programs including COTS, Habitat for Humanity and CROP Walk. We also hold a Charter from the Boy Scouts of America for Novi's Cub Scout Pack 54 which serves Novi Woods Elementary School.

  • SUMMER SCRIP: The Scrip program is up and running. Many Meadowbrook families have already jumped on board and are earning money for the church just by doing their regular shopping and spending. Buy Sam's or Gordon Foods cards to purchase your party needs. Call or email Patti Hokett at plhokett at yahoo dot com for more information. When you place an order on Sunday we usually have it delivered to us by mid week. Remember - you can pay both your Kohl's and Penney's credit cards with scrip.

  • LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL GIFT? For those of us who don't need a thing when asked what we would like for a birthday or special occasion. Please consider suggesting to family and friends an offering to the Bridge to the Future capital campaign fund would be a thoughtful and meaningful gift. It would also be a tax benefit to the donor and a most welcome contribution to the church.
To make an offering to the Bridge to the Future campaign, you may simply place your check into your pledge envelope and indicate the amount in the space after BUILDING FUND. Or you may use the blue envelopes marked Bridge to the Future.

A word about the border color
The color of the border around this page is based on the Liturgical Color for the current season of the liturgical year. Green marks Time of the Church, or Ordinary Time, which stretches most of the church year from Pentecost until Advent begins.
