Summer Storytelling Program

The Board of Christian Ed will be sponsoring a Summer Storytelling series for the children of Meadowbrook and their friends. It will be held at the church starting on Thursday, June 28^th 10am to 11am. Toddlers and above are welcome to come along with an adult to enjoy a story, craft project and snack. Future dates are scheduled for July 12^th, July 26^th, August 9^th, and August 23^rd. Everyone is welcome!

Vacation Bible School – July 15-19

Michigan Congregational Summer Camp (MCSC) will be held at YMCA Camp Copneconic in Fenton from Sunday, July 29 through Friday, August 3. All youth who will be entering grades 4 through 9 in Fall 2012 are invited to attend. Scrip Program

Target has joined the Meadowbrook Scrip program. Before your next car trip to everyone’s favorite spot, be sure to pick up Target and gasoline scrip. You can also pickup some scrip during the week – scrip on hand includes: Barnes and Noble, Home Depot, iTunes, Kohl’s, Marathon, Panera and Starbucks.

Choirs at Meadowbrook

CHILDREN AND YOUTH CHOIR REHEARSALS: Joyful Noise children’s choir, grades K-6, will begin rehearsals at 11:15am on TODAY. The MC4 choir, for singers in grades 7-12, will practice at 11:35am, immediately following Joyful Noise rehearsals.

CHANCEL CHOIR NEWS: Anyone interested in joining the Adult Chancel Choir is always welcome. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm. Please see any member of the choir or our Director of Music, Jeannette Faber.

Book Club

Soap, Shampoo and Toothbrushes—An Ongoing Collection

When you travel this summer, please remember those less fortunate that you, and pick up the small samples of soap, shampoo and toothbrushes you find in hotels. An ongoing collection here at Meadowbrook will be given to the Detroit Rescue Mission, Novi Emergency Food Bank, and Northville Civic Concern for those in need. Donations can be left in Fellowship Hall.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry has yarn and patterns available for the newest shawls for baptisms and new babies. The kits are available in Fellowship Hall. Crochet and knit patterns are available in the church office.

Prayer Chain Ministry

The Meadowbrook Prayer Chain Ministry is now active and ready to offer prayers for those in need as requested by any Meadowbrook member. Your requests can be for any other member, family member or a close friend. Prayer requests can be made on the reverse side of the Connection Card which is found in the Sunday bulletin as well as by calling the office, or contacting Reverend Ritter or any member of the Prayer Chain Ministry. The Prayer Chain Ministry meets every Sunday immediately following worship for a time of prayer. Everyone is invited to join.
