We will be observing Lent with an Ash Wednesday service on February 22 in the Meeting House beginning at 7:30 p.m. Prior to the service we will have our traditional potluck dinner at 6:15pm – a signup sheet is available in Fellowship Hall.

Spaghetti Dinner – Kenyan Pilgrim Presence Vehicle

We are inviting all members and friends of Meadowbrook Church to make this event a real success for the many Kenyan people who are seeking to learn the Gospel. Adult Education: 24 Hours That Changed the World

Everyone is invited to join us for a Lenten study “24 Hours That Changed the World,” beginning Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Ritter will lead the group that will meet each Tuesday night through the Lenten season. You are welcome to attend any or all of these sessions. The study is enhanced by a DVD program that visits the sites of Jerusalem where the final events in Jesus’ life took place. We will reflect on the thoughts and feelings of Jesus and others who played an important role in the Passion story. Each session will last between 60 and 75 minutes.

Monthly Scrapbooking

Compassion International

File of Life Available

The Novi Fire Department’s File of Life program allows a person to communicate with emergency responders even if that person is unresponsive. The File of Life is a bright red plastic sleeve, roughly the size of a big postcard that affixes to your refrigerator with a magnet. Inside the sleeve is a form on which people can indicate medical history, prescriptions, allergies and emergency contact information. This form allows first responders to know what ailments a patient may be suffering from without having to wait for tests.

This FREE File of Life sleeve can be picked up in Fellowship Hall, or contact Nancy in the church office and she will mail one to your home.

The emergency information card should be filled out to the best of your ability and placed inside the File of Life pouch. If you are a Novi resident, please fill out the last portion of the information sheet and send it to the Novi Fire Department (42975 Grand River, Novi MI 48375). This voluntary follow up form is used by fire department dispatchers to inform first responders that a File of Life is on site.

Scrip Program

You can also pickup some scrip during the week – scrip on hand includes: Barnes and Noble, Home Depot, iTunes, Kohl’s, Marathon, Panera and Starbucks.

Nut Allergies

Choirs at Meadowbrook

CHILDREN AND YOUTH CHOIR REHEARSALS: Joyful Noise children’s choir, grades K-6, will begin rehearsals at 11:15am on TODAY. The MC4 choir, for singers in grades 7-12, will practice at 11:35am, immediately following Joyful Noise rehearsals.

CHANCEL CHOIR NEWS: Anyone interested in joining the Adult Chancel Choir is always welcome. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm. Please see any member of the choir or our Director of Music, Jeannette Faber.
