Meadowbrook Congregational Church

Christian Education Program
at Meadowbrook Congregational Church

Nursery:

Nursery care is provided for infants, toddlers, and young preschoolers. Adult and teen caregivers provide a safe atmosphere where the children play while parents worship in the Meeting House.

Church School:

Children ages 4 years old through middle school are invited to attend our Sunday Church School. The children begin the worship experience with their family and then are dismissed during the service to Fellowship Hall. We are in our 5th year of using Workshop Rotation Model for our Church School program. In Rotation Model, classes rotate to new workshops weekly in a 4 to 6 week long unit. Workshops include art, drama, cooking, video, games, puppetry, science and more. Each unit is centered on a certain topic, Bible story, or lesson. Our units this year include People Who Made a Difference, Esther, Heritage, The Jesse Tree, Jesus Calls His Disciples, Journey to the Cross, and Pentecost.

Senior High

The High School class meets weekly in a Youth Bible Study program with a teacher acting as facilitator. On the 1st Sunday of the month, the High School students have the option of attending church as a class or with their families.

Meadowbrook Academy of Religious Studies (M.A.R.S.):

Our Adult education class has met biweekly during the fall and weekly during Lent to discuss various books. This year our fall class will read and discuss the novel Mayflower. On a more informal level, Meadowbrook also has a book discussion group that meets monthly. A list of books that we will be reading is available.

Pilgrim Fellowship Our Youth group for middle school and High School ages meets weekly during the school year. There are weekend retreats for both groups in which they will meet with other Congregational Churches.
